All students are taught the learning areas from the Australian Curriculum. These are: English, Mathematics, Science, History and Social Sciences (HASS), The Arts, Technologies, Health & Physical Education and Languages. Japanese is our Languages subject for students in Year 5 & 6. This is taught via the Charters Towers School of Distance Education.  Futures technology programs include; Solid Pathways, Global Tropics Futures Project, Sphero Bolt, Robotic and Drone programming programs (STEM) are also taught.

Consistent and continuous monitoring, assessing and reporting methods are employed in and across year levels to ensure an individual student’s progress is mapped. This ensures that additional support/extension can be provided to those students with a specific learning need. For instance, students with a verified disability have an Education Adjustment Plan (EAP) and are integrated into the classroom with varying degrees of support. Identified students may study a more individualised learning program, called an Individual Curriculum Plan (ICP).
All Learning Areas for all students are formally reported on twice yearly against the Australian Curriculum year level achievement standards
Face to face parent-teacher interviews are held two times a year. Parents do not have to wait for these times to discuss their child’s progress and can make an appointment at any time to talk with the class teacher.
